EXCEPTIONAL GII-18C BLOWN THREE MOLD INK - VERY SCARCE

ITEM 2843. BLOWN THREE MOLD INKWELL, (McK# GII-18c), deep yellow olive, cylindrical, pontil scar, 1 7/8"H x 1 7/8"D, applied disc mouth, sparkling attic mint. Keene Marlboro Street Glass Works, Keene, NH, 1820-1840, very scarce.

This boldly embossed blown-three-mold inkwell is the best possible example of the very scarce GII-18C mold. The bottle is not only perfect but also particularly crude and beautifully formed. The ink is a local find that is fresh to the bottle collecting market and it is quite simply the very best example of this hard-to-find mold that we have encountered.
