ITEM 2470. CASE GIN, yellow olive, tapered gin form, tubular pontil scar, 10 1/16"H x 1 7/8"W at the base x 3 ½"W at the shoulder, crudely applied mouth, mint. Probably Dutch, 1780-1820, a rare form for a case gin, ex. Norman C. Heckler, Jr. collection.

It is this bottle's outrageous form that puts the piece "over-the-top" and makes it a VERY special piece of early glass. We have certainly never seen a gin quite like this, have you?!
