ITEM 2388. "BEISER & FISHER / N. Y" WHISKEY PIG, amber with an olive cast, figural pig, smooth base, 9 3/8"L x 3 3/4"H, applied double collar, shallow ¼" chip on edge of snout, otherwise perfect. American, C. 1870, very rare.

This rare whiskey bottle is among the very rarest of the figural pigs and it is the key bottle that many collectors are missing in their "run" of piggies. The bottle is not technically perfect but the noted flake is "non-disfiguring" and in our opinion, the color and crudity of the piece more than compensate for this minor bit of damage.
