MINT GI-29 DEEP COBALT BLUE SANDWICH HALF-PINT DECANTER WITH ORGINAL STOPPER

ITEM 2321. BLOWN THREE MOLD DECANTER, (McK# GI-29), deep cobalt blue, pontil scar, half-pint, flared mouth with original stopper, mint. Probably blown at the Boston and Sandwich Glass Works, Sandwich, MA, 1820-1840, scarce.

With its rich color and superb embossing, this lovely Sandwich Glass decanter stands head and shoulders above the throng, proudly staking its claim as a superior example of the GI-29 mold. As the auction history for this fine piece will attest, the decanter is priced to sell (the Richards example sold for $1540 in 1993) and we are pleased to offer the piece with our very highest recommendations!
