ITEM 2321. BLOWN THREE MOLD DECANTER,
(McK# GI-29), deep cobalt blue, pontil scar, half-pint, flared
mouth with original stopper, mint. Probably blown at the Boston
and Sandwich Glass Works, Sandwich, MA, 1820-1840, scarce.
With its rich color and superb embossing, this lovely Sandwich
Glass decanter stands head and shoulders above the throng, proudly
staking its claim as a superior example of the GI-29 mold. As
the auction history for this fine piece will attest, the decanter
is priced to sell (the Richards example sold for $1540 in 1993)
