VERY SCARCE BASE EMBOSSED WILLINGTON GLASS WORKS WHISKEY

ITEM 2259. "WILLINGTON GLASS WORKS" BASE EMBOSSED WHISKEY, shaded golden olive amber, three-piece mold cylinder, smooth base, 11 5/8"H x 2 7/8"D, applied sloping collar with ring, about mint (light exterior wear and scuffing). Willington Glass Works, West Willington, CT, 1860-1872, very scarce.

This hard-to-find Connecticut whiskey fifth is a far better than average example that boasts beautifully crude glass and exceptionally bold base embossing.
