LATE 18TH CENTURY NEW JERSEY CHESTNUT BOTTLE

ITEM 10884. CHESTNUT BOTTLE, olive yellow, pontil scar, 9 ½"H, crudely applied mouth, a mint bottle exhibiting just a whisper of usage wear. Blown at a Southern New Jersey Glass House, late 18th century.


This handsome chestnut bottle is a particularly appealing example of the type blown in Southern New Jersey in the last decades of the 18th century.
