ITEM 10849. PITKIN-TYPE FLASK,
32 ribs, ribbed and swirled to the right, medium to deep green,
pontil scar, pint (6 11/16"H), sheared and fire polished
mouth, a mint exhibiting some minor exterior wear and two, small,
shallow pontil flakes as manufactured. American, probably blown
at a Midwestern Glass House, 1810-1830.
It is this flask's noticeably wider than normal form and unusually
deep color that distinguishes it from others in the Pitkin-type
family of flasks.
