ITEM 10835. PITKIN-TYPE FLASK,
32 ribs, ribbed and swirled to the left, electric yellow green,
pontil scar, pint (6 5/8"H), sheared and fire polished mouth,
a mint exhibiting just a whisper of wear at the high points.
American, probably blown at a Midwestern Glass House, 1810-1830.
For sheer eye appeal, it would be difficult to improve upon this
beautifully colored half-post flask. Almost "neon"
in quality, the color of this piece really pops in the sunlight
and it's an absolute dazzler in natural light. It is highly
unusual to find Pitkin-type flasks blown in colors of this brilliance.
