EMERALD GREEN PITTSBURGH, PA GI-106 DOUBLE EAGLE FLASK

ITEM 10200. EAGLE / "PITTSBURGH / PA," - EAGLE, (McK# GII-108), bright emerald green, smooth base, pint, applied mouth with ring, an attic quality bottle with a pinhead sized surface blemish on the medial rib. Blown at a Pittsburgh District Glass House, Pittsburgh, PA, C. 1870, rare color.

Over the years we have sold numerous examples of this flask in shades of olive and forest green but this is the first time we have had the pleasure of offering a specimen in this beautiful shade of color. As shown, the embossed lettering is quite strong, as is the mold impression as a whole. The flask is absolutely stunning when displayed in a sunny window and it's a piece we can offer with our highest recommendations.
