ITEM 10128. SHEAF OF WHEAT - "TRAVELER'S / (EIGHT-POINTED STAR) / COMPANION", (McK# GXIV-1), brilliant orange amber with strong red highlights, particularly near the base, smooth base, quart, applied mouth, mint. Westford Glass Company, Westford, CT, 1860-1873.

Nope, it's not a great rarity but I am as excited about this piece of glass as I have been about ANY bottle for quite some time. When discovered (in a basement no less) the piece was covered with decades of grime and it wiped clean to reveal what I would argue is as good or better than any example of this mold I have ever encountered. The color and whittling make this bottle extraordinary indeed!
