ITEM 0051. FREEBLOWN CREAMER,
deep violet blue, squat body with shortened neck, tooled pour
spout and applied solid handle with rigaree, pontil scar, 3 13/16"H,
tooled mouth with pour spout, mint. Blown at a Pittsburgh District
Glass House, 1820-1840.
Definitely attributable to a Pittsburgh Glass House (with an
identical piece in the Ford Museum), this delightful little creamer
is a joy to the eye and it would make a FINE addition to an advanced
collection of American Blown Glass.
