ITEM 0012. "FARLEY'S / INK,"
golden olive amber, octagonal, tubular pontil scar, 3 ¾"H,
delicately flared mouth, mint. Blown at a Stoddard Glass Works,
Stoddard, NH, 1843-1860, very rare. Ex. Alan Evanuk Collection,
ex. Watt White Collection, ex. David Ellis Collection.
Over the years we have had the pleasure of owning four large
Farley's Ink bottles with arguably being the nicest. Although
rather heavy and crude, the bottle is EXTREMELY well embossed
(better than any we have seen) and also topped by a wonderfully
delicate flared lip. If you are looking to add an important bottle
to your shelf this is a piece worthy of serious consideration!
