DG46. "OLD SACHEM/ BITTERS / AND
/ WIGWAM TONIC", (Ring# O46), deep burgundy with strong
amethyst overtones, figural barrel, smooth base, 9 3/4"H,
crudely applied square collar, mint. American, 1865-1875, scarce
color.
It is this bottle's extremely crude applied square collar that
qualifies it as "the one to own" should you be looking
to add this color to your run of Sachem barrels. Purchased at
a Maine estate auction in the 1970s, this bottle has been in
a private collection for more then 20 years.
