a mint bottle exhibiting some exterior usage wear. American, probably
blown at a New England Glass House, C. 1830.
MAMMOTH CASE GIN BOTTLE,
clear olive green, square, tubular pontil scar, 16 ¼"H,
applied mouth, a mint bottle with some base edge surface crazing
as is common to gins of this size. Blown at a Dutch Glass House,
C. 1780, rare.
MAMMOTH CASE GIN BOTTLE,
clear olive green, tapered square case gin form, tubular pontil
scar, 19 ¼"H, crudely applied mouth, about mint (some
expected usage wear and light overall staining from having been
stored in a damp basement. There are also two pontil fissures
with no appreciable depth that are a manufacturer's flaw). Probably
blown at a Dutch Glass House, 1760-1800, rare size.

clear olive green, tapered square case gin form, tubular pontil
scar, 18 ¼"H, crudely applied mouth, a mint bottle
exhibiting the expected usage wear and retaining some content
residue. Probably blown at a Dutch Glass House, 1760-1800, rare
size.
DEMI-JAR, deep olive green
with profuse "black" slaggy striations, two-piece mold
cylinder, 13 ¾"H x 7 ½"D, HUGE (nearly
3"D) red iron pontil scar, mint. American, C. 1850, extremely
rare.
SNUFF JAR, medium to deep
olive amber, square, faint sand chip pontil scar, 4 5/8"H
x 2 1/8"D, crudely applied mouth, mint. Probably American,
late 18th or early 19th century, rare form.
CASE GIN BOTTLE, deep olive
green with amber overtones, dip-molded square tapering from the
base to the shoulders, tubular pontil scar, 13 3/4"H, crudely
applied mouth, mint. Probably blown at a Dutch Glass House, late
18th century, rare size.
"AD / 1801 (ON APPLIED
SEAL)" BLACK GLASS CYLINDER, deep olive green, pontil scar,
8 7/8"H, applied mouth, 2" crack behind seal and some
interior staining. Blown at an English Glass House, C. 1800, rare.
CONTINENTAL MALLET BOTTLE,
clear olive green, straight-sided cylinder, pontil scar, 8 3/8"H
x 4 3/4"D, applied string rim, a mint bottle exhibiting some
exterior wear and scratching. Probably blown at a Dutch or Belgian
Glass House, C. 1730.
ENGLISH MALLET BOTTLE, golden
olive amber, straight-sided cylinder, sand chip pontil scar, 8
3/16"H x 4 3/8"D, crudely applied string rim, some scattered
exterior wear and two small, difficult to locate star cracks in
the body. Blown at an English Glass House, C. 1740.
SNUFF BOTTLE, olive green,
square, pontil scar, 8 1/4"H x 3 1/8"W, applied double
collar, a mint bottle exhibiting the expected usage wear. A Colonial
Era bottle blown at either an early New England Glass Works or
imported from England, 1780-1820, rare.
FREEBLOWN JAR, deep
olive green, cylindrical, sand chip pontil scar, 8"H x 4
1/2"D, crudely applied mouth, about mint (1/16" top
of lip flake with no appreciable depth). A Colonial Era jar blown
at either an early New England Glass Works or imported from England,
1780-1820, scarce.
DIP-MOLDED UTILITY JAR, yellow
olive, cylindrical with widely flaring mouth, tubular pontil scar,
12 1/2"H x 5 1/2"D, sheared and fire polished mouth,
a mint jar with several interior open bubbles. Probably Dutch,
1800-1840.
BEVERAGE BOTTLE, olive green,
three-piece mold cylinder, tubular pontil scar, 6 3/4"H x
3"D, applied sloping collar, a mint bottle with a partially
open bubble on the shoulder. American, probably blown at the Mount
Vernon Glass Works, Mount Vernon, NY, 1820-1840, a scarce early
form.
CASE GIN, yellow olive, tapered
gin form, tubular pontil scar, 10 1/16"H x 1 7/8"W at
the base x 3 ½"W at the shoulder, crudely applied
mouth, mint. Probably Dutch, 1780-1820, a rare form for a case
gin, ex. Norman C. Heckler, Jr. collection.
DIP MOLD CASE GIN, clear
olive green, square with gradually tapering sides, tubular pontil
scar, 9 7/8"H x 3"W, crudely applied mouth, about mint
(light to moderate exterior wear and scuffing). Probably Dutch,
1780-1820.

BLACK GLASS STORAGE JAR WITH
THREADED PEWTER CLOSURE, (similar to Van den Bossche plate 147,
#1), deep yellow olive, dip-mold cylinder, pontil scar, 10 5/8"H
x 4 1/8"D, sheared and tooled mouth fitted with a period
pewter closure, a mint bottle exhibiting some minor usage wear.
