GIV-34 FRIGATE - FRANKLIN - FREE TRADE AND SAILORS RIGHTS

BK13. FRIGATE / "FRANKLIN" - "FREE TRADE AND SAILORS RIGHTS" - "KENSINGTON GLASS WORKS PHILADELPHIA" - MASONIC ARCH, (McK# GIV-34), aquamarine, pontil scar, pint, sheared and tooled mouth, about mint (freckles of light interior haze in the shoulders). Kensington Glass Works, Philadelphia, PA, 1830-1850.

Embossed with the memorable slogan of "Free Trade and Sailor's Rights," this beautiful and very historic flask is an exceptional example of the GIV-34 mold. This fine piece of Kensington glass excels in all regards but it is the outstanding mold impression that is the flasks most distinctive trait.
